Pooja Walia is a proud Bramptonian inspired by community and driven by a passion to bring change to make Brampton a better place for Senior Community, Empower Women from all backgrounds and ensure that City reclaims its lost glory.
Pooja settled in Brampton 14 years ago with her Husband and now lives with her two daughters.
Golden Grace,
Every Senior Matters
A devoted advocate for Seniors’ welfare, Pooja is the founder of “Golden Grace, Every Senior Matters” advocacy, an initiative born out of a deeply personal experience.
In 2021, Pooja lost her mother in India, and due to COVID-19 related flight restrictions, she was unable to travel back to be with her. That moment of helplessness became a powerful turning point.
Today, Golden Grace is her mission to ensure no senior feels alone, unheard, or unsupported.

My journey is dedicated to ensuring our seniors feel loved, heard and supported through their golden years.
From Personal Loss to Purposeful Service
Pooja Walia's journey into community advocacy was shaped by a deeply personal experience. In 2021, she lost her mother in India and, because of COVID-19 related flight restrictions, was unable to travel home to be by her side.
That heartbreaking experience inspired her to create Golden Grace: Every Senior Matters — an advocacy initiative dedicated to ensuring seniors feel loved, heard and supported through their golden years.
In 2023, Pooja made a bold career shift, leaving her HR profession to work full-time in healthcare. She has also worked in Peel Long-Term Care facilities, dedicating her time to caring for seniors.
